What is a good assisted opening knife for $15-$20?

I’m looking to get an assisted opening knife, because I want to have a knife I can open fast and easily with one hand. I want one that has a high carbon blade, and with a mechanism that works and won’t just stop working after a few weeks.

you’ll probably have to go a little higher for quality here.

i can only speak to the kershaw speedsafe models:

i have a chive that i’ve had for about seven years. great build, razor sharp. the spring broke about 4 years ago. there is a warranty, but i like the knife for so many reasons (ergonomics, size) i’ve never bothered to send it back

i have a leek as well (a little larger) but the safety snapped off within about a year

i would recommend the chive, the leek not so much. you can probebly get one for about 25, 30 bucks

there may be some knockoffs around for less, but you want two things- a solid mechanism and a quality blade, and i really dont think yo can have both for under 25 bucks.
